For nine years, I taught in Social Studies and English Language Arts classrooms serving a diverse range of student needs. I made the transition into educational sales becoming a National Humanities Specialist. I am passionate about Social Studies instruction, and my focus is to ensure that all students have an active and engaging experience in their classes. Students should be exposed to content that is rich in primary and secondary sources driven by the inquiry model. I’m also excited about creating classrooms that integrate critical thinking, literacy skills, and purposeful digital applications to drive learning outcomes. I support teachers, coaches, and administrators across the country in their work to transform their Social Studies classrooms that prepare students for their college, career, and civic lives. I live in Austin, Texas with my husband who is also a secondary Social Studies teacher.
